I'm considering switching the motor oil to Red Line when my Amsoil stock runs out. The cost increase is my problem, $11.39 a qt. vs $20.95 a qt.

Is Red Line that much better?

I thought I would give an update on the SXS. Better machine than other brands in my opinion. Wife has a Facebook account and that is the opinion on there. Keep in mind nothing is perfect.

This motor is great, inline 4 cyl. 116 H.P. I can spin the rear wheels on our dirt roads when I punch it at lower speeds.

Definitely quieter with Amsoil driveline fluids. Switched to Amsoil fluids at 81 miles, second oil change at 1007 miles. 1800 miles on it now. 1000 mile OCI's per manual.

Going to install sound deadening material and a carpet kit to help with cab noise which is a problem with all SXS. A/C and heat work well, dust in the cab was an issue like all others, improved with some door weather seal from Amazon.

Plowing snow this winter will be enjoyable after I fixed the poorly designed Kawasaki plow near the end of winter last year. The plow angle was wrong, it leaned back to much so it wouldn't remove all the snow and leave a clean driveway surface. I increased the angle by replacing this stock piece on the right.

I had to add these parts for the springs due to the increased angle

Works like it should, removes snow leaving a clean surface. Also added plastic plow edge to protect driveway surface.

No.  Red Line sold out to Conoco/Phillips.  AMSOIL is one of last few independent privately owned synthetic oil companies left.  The rest were lured by easy $ to sell out, Royal Purple, Red Line, etc

I used AMSOIL since circa 1976

Watch this some blather at the start but it gets interesting in few minutes..

Great products in my opinion.

Use their OE line of motor oil and other products for the driveline in our 19 Hyundai Santa FE. Noticeable difference. Use the small engine oil in my snowblower, quieter.

AMSOIL pushes everything to the limits to test and make sure the protection is there, as well as the performance.

Great testing. Just hate these things in quiet pristine areas.
