Mic won’t work for dictation

Hello. I have a 2022 GMC Denali 2500 HD and when I am connected with my phone, I am able to make and receive calls and the microphone works as it should. But when I try to do dictation such as reply to a text message or do a Google search using the microphone it does not work. I am using an iPhone 15 Pro Pro with current software and confirm that my phone works as it should in other GMC Ford and Jeep vehicles. I have deleted the phone in the truck and deleted the truck from my phone  And re-added it with no luck. When I deleted it, let it sit for two minutes after opening and closing the door as instructed but still no luck.
