Haufski762 Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Gents, I have my radio set at a low to mild audio level and when I get a text message through my phone, the notification is LOUD. I tried looking up how to adjust the volume of the notification and I cannot find a way to adjust it. I have tried lowering the Bluetooth volume, no change. Any help?
redwngr Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 Try adjusting the volume while it is playing the text.
2016 Sierra Owner Posted November 28, 2024 Posted November 28, 2024 (edited) As stated above. Turn the volume down while the notification is happening. I recently had the recall programming done to my 24. After that I could not hear Siri unless I was stopped with the engine off. Apparently there are different volumes for the radio (music) and spoken word (Siri/ nav directions). I have not found a setting in the infotainment controls for these 2 different volumes but, if you catch it while Siri is talking and turn it up. It will adjust. It also says something like spoken word volume. Edited November 28, 2024 by 2016 Sierra Owner
Haufski762 Posted December 1, 2024 Author Posted December 1, 2024 I will try that. Will that affect other volumes? Or will they stay at the previous level?
2016 Sierra Owner Posted December 1, 2024 Posted December 1, 2024 It's 2 different volume settings. One for spoken word and one for your music. I set my spoken word and have not touched it since. The volume stays the same no matter if I turn the music volume up or down.
