I have completed my DFM delete as documented in another thread and as luck would have it my inspection expired right after I wrapped the job up.  I plugged in a cheap OBDII scanner just to check the condition of the emissions systems and I have several that are showing "incomplete" status as opposed to "READY"  I have only put around 200 miles on it since I finished the job. Is there a time frame after you have had the battery disconnected for a while before everything is ready again?  Some of the systems that are showing the INCOMPLETE status had zero to do with the job that I did like 02 sensor heater,  fuel system, and evaporative system.

Has anyone that has done the DFM delete had issues getting the truck inspected after the fact in an area that does emissions inspection via the OBDII port?

I can`t see dfm delete causing an emissions fail. That`s a fuel mileage thing more than 4 gas.

UNLESS, the tune out of dfm has pissed off some modules and won`t go into a ready state. Hmmm.

I didn't do a mechanical delete to my old 2018, but did have AFM tuned out via HP Tuners.  Never had a problem running monitors.

Have you actually tried the drive cycle test for your truck?  Has to be on a proper cold start, so 8 hours off or more.  Here's the procedure for a 2019 new body gas.  This might have to be done several times to set all of the monitors.  Also, make sure you are between 1/4 and 3/4 tank of fuel:

Warning: Road test a vehicle under safe conditions and while obeying all traffic laws. Do not attempt any maneuvers that could jeopardize vehicle control. Failure to adhere to these precautions could lead to serious personal injury and vehicle damage.

Note:

  • You have completed this procedure when all parameters display Complete.
  • Short stops for traffic will not affect the procedure.

Note: Do NOT use cruise control during this procedure.

  1. Ignition » On / Vehicle » In Service Mode — For 1 min (added note:  Service mode = push and hold the ignition push button for 7-10 seconds.  That turns on service mode aka key on engine off)
  2. Engine » Idling — For 2 min
  3. Drive the vehicle while maintaining the following conditions for 20 min:
    • Part Throttle
    • Vehicle Speed = 24 to 97 km/h (15 to 60 MPH)
  4. Safely stop the vehicle
  5. Operate the engine/vehicle within the following conditions:
    1. Accelerate the vehicle to 64 km/h (40 MPH)
    2. Accelerate the vehicle from 64 to 97 km/h (40 to 60 MPH) @ Throttle position between 10% and 13%
    3. Release the accelerator pedal and let the vehicle coast down with the brake pedal released — For greater than 20 s
    4. Accelerate the vehicle from 64 to 97 km/h (40 to 60 MPH) @ Throttle position between 13% and 16%
    5. Release the accelerator pedal and let the vehicle coast down with the brake pedal released — For greater than 20 s
    6. Accelerate the vehicle from 64 to 97 km/h (40 to 60 MPH) @ Throttle position between 16% and 19%
    7. Release the accelerator pedal and let the vehicle coast down with the brake pedal released — For greater than 20 s
    8. Accelerate the vehicle from 64 to 97 km/h (40 to 60 MPH) @ Throttle position between 19% and 22%
    9. Release the accelerator pedal and let the vehicle coast down with the brake pedal released — For greater than 20 s
    10. Accelerate the vehicle from 64 to 97 km/h (40 to 60 MPH) @ Throttle position between 22% and 25%
    11. Release the accelerator pedal and let the vehicle coast down with the brake pedal released — For greater than 20 s
  6. Maintain steady state throttle at 89 km/h (55 MPH) — For 10 min
  7. Safely stop the vehicle

Thank you both for the replies.  I can tell you with certainty that I have not met all of those driving conditions.  I guess I need to hit the road a bit more.
