Hello everyone,

This is my first post here, so please bear with me if it's a bit rough.

I own a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST Crew Cab, Standard Box. Unfortunately, it was prebuilt by the dealer, and the Safety Package wasn’t installed. I’ve read online that GM often leaves the necessary wiring for camera connections inside the truck, which are only used if the customer opts for the Safety Package.

Here are my questions:

Is it true that the wiring for the safety cameras is present even if the Safety Package wasn’t selected?
If so, does anyone know where these wires are typically located in the Silverado 1500?

My goal is to salvage the required parts from auto wreckers without having to dismantle my current vehicle, as it’s currently leased, and I plan to buy it out later.
I would appreciate any detailed information on whether the wiring exists in my model and guidance or tips on locating the wires without extensive disassembly.
Thank you.

There may be some extra wiring, sure. However, it’s about far more than just wiring. Nothing works without reprogramming modules and a dealer won’t do it for you.

If you need 360 cams, trade the truck in for one with it.
