Daniel_B Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 Hey guys I have a 2022 GMC 2500. Had the back glass replaced and noticed that the tech broke off the driver side alignment tab hole that’s part of the cab and didn’t snap it in on passenger side. Will this be an issue? I’m assuming the primer they use will stop rust from where it broke the spot welds.
SoCal Angler Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 (edited) I would not be satisfied with this rear glass install. How the heck did he break the steel tab? I believe the tabs are not just for alignment but also for holding glass snugly in place as the adhesive dries. This install appears to have defeated those two purposes. Not sure how the tab can be replaced without welding. I would demand a re-do with broken tab repaired....however not sure I would want the same tech doing it. BTW....you should move this to the Troubleshooting sub forum Edited February 6, 2025 by SoCal Angler
