Hey fellas I was wondering if anyone knew the part number for this piece. I'm getting a random clunking (hard to recreate on demand) that's coming from the front left drivers side when hitting certain dips on the road. The other bushings and sway bar links look to be in good shape so I'm assuming this has to be the culprit. It's located just to the left of the front differential drain bolt.

Driveline vibration damper.  23169930.

It is a discontinued part, however this company called Vintage Parts Inc. is showing 3 in stock.  Vintage Parts has a LOT of discontinued/no longer available stock from all sorts of OEMs, and its used frequently by GM dealers (and others) to get parts that they might have new old stock of still that are no longer produced.

GM is now discontinuing parts less than 10 years after the vehicle manufacturing date??  Isn't that against Federal law?

No such laws.

Good article here - Ask a Hemmings Editor: How long do carmakers have to provide replacement parts for older cars? | The Online Automotive Marketplace | Hemmings, The World's Largest Collector Car Marketplace

The only sort of remote "law" is via Magnuson-Moss act.  M-M doesn't mandate a time that parts have to be available but does state:

"if the product (or a component part thereof) contains a defect or malfunction after a reasonable number of attempts by the warrantor to remedy defects to malfunctions in such product, such warrantor must permit the consumer to elect either a refund for, or replacement without charge of, such product or part."

So GM for example, via Mag-Moss has to only produce parts long enough to satisfy warranty period of the vehicle.  So the V6 engine in the K2XX trucks, last year for production was 2018.  3/36 bumper to bumper would have expired 2021-2022 depending on the in service date of the vehicle, powertrain warranty would have been up 2023-2024 depending on in service date of the vehicle.  K2 platform pickups stopped production as the "LD" 2019 model year trucks.
