pacodiablo Posted July 28, 2002 Posted July 28, 2002 i was reading C&D and they said the 2003 expe was rated as an ULEV (ultra low emissions vehicle). is this true? i checked EPA's site and they had no info on it. thats cool if it is, size w/o the guilt
pacodiablo Posted July 28, 2002 Author Posted July 28, 2002 pg. 54 "...and achive status as an ultra low emissions vehicle..."
JonesNTN Posted July 28, 2002 Posted July 28, 2002 Oh, I see, under the part where it says that the Expedition weighs way more than the engine can handle. Also some blurb about the expedition being the towing champ??? thats BS, because that was the only vehicle tested at 8650 lbs even though the GMC was rated at 12k max.
pacodiablo Posted July 28, 2002 Author Posted July 28, 2002 12K is for the 2500. their tester is a 1500. the expe is underpowered because it is 100 pounds more than the yukon xl, yet it has fewer HP. i can't wait till 04 (2003 realease) when the new f-150s/expes will be out with the revised tritons. then the expedition will fly by all of it's competitors.
mcali17 Posted July 28, 2002 Posted July 28, 2002 Yeah, right, if their rear ends don't fall out of them first.
