Added pictures,  left side of engine, above oil filter housing,  there is a Allen set screw on the side of the block that is starting to leak oil from,  if any chevy tech out there tell me what that Allen bolt is for? Can I take it out and put some sealant around it? All data and identifix have zero info on that allen

Welcome to the forum. What year is your truck? What engine? That looks like a plug not a set screw.

That looks like a plug in the oil galley. I think your OK to pull it and reseal.

Use thread sealant, I would use white tape and liquid thread sealant.

I'm a honda technician,  appreciate your advice,  I would never use white tape on an engine , white tape is for plumbers
