Hill Start Assist Sensor Adjustment?

This one is probably a long shot, but is the sensor that measures the incline of the vehicle (and thus activates the hill start assist/automatic parking brake) located in a place which can be adjusted?  The hill start assist is way too sensitive and activates on portions of my driveway which I would've considered to be pretty close to flat.  However, if I have a load in the bed making the the truck itself closer to "level", the hill start assist does not activate in these exact same areas. 

 

Which leads me to believe it is set up assuming the truck itself is normally level (which obviously they are higher in the rear).  So ideally I'd like to adjust the sensor to account for the normal rake of the truck.

I do not have specific knowledge about the system on these trucks but briefly poking around on the internet I found pages stating on GM systems the pitch sensor used for hill start assist is internal to the ABS computer.
