Has anyone tried mounting the AEV transmission skid plate (PN: 57060002AA) with the oem transfer case skid plate still being used on the truck? Would be mounted on a 2025 2500, don't want to buy it on a maybe it will fit with the oem transfer case skid

Download the instructions from their site and crawl under your truck and verify you have the mounting holes. Instructions say "2019-2022 may need drilled" or something like that. Not confidence inspiring since the T1 HD wasn't out in 2019 and if you've visited my AEV diff thread, I've experienced some finite detail slop from them before.

The bolt holes look be in the right places, don't want to delete the GM transfer case skid plate and don't really want to buy a replacement transfer case skid from AVE. Emailed AVE on this issue and they told me the engineers hadn't tried the AVE transmission skid with the GM transfer case skid in place, but they would likely fit together. I expect there's not a lot of motivation by the company to actually try this combo since they are selling both replacement skid plates.

If you want something more robust than the weenie hut Jr Z-71 tcase skid that's still affordable, check out the ZR2 skid. Details are buried in the ZR2 threads in this section.

I'm going to assume after 225 views of this thread, the transmission must not be to likely to get bumped on these trucks when going mildly off-road. Going to shelf the transmission skid ideal.

Scroll to the 2nd page. Need to drill & tap the 2 rear holes.
