2020 Tahoe slow start

My wife's 2020 Tahoe has started a slow cranking when starting the truck. It has an Optima Yellow top that was checked at two different stores and the battery is good, the alternator checked out fine, and the starter checked out fine as well.  However it is a slow startup that it used to not do.  Has anyone else heard of this??  I'm almost about to just replace the starter and see if that works

Battery cable failure on this gen is very common.  High resistance in the positive and negative cables, and that short positive one from the battery to the battery mounted fuse box.

 

Also.  Starters.  The 5.3s have starter failures all the time.  We probably sell 4-5 a month.  A saleswoman, her boyfriend went to fix his son's truck that wouldn't start, a 2018 with a 5.3.  He threw a battery in it, still no go.  Pulled the starter and took it to a local parts store.  They tested it, it tested ok but it was bad.  Put a starter in it and it fixed it.  They either end up with a dead spot or multiple dead spots in them, or the solenoid acts up.

Thank you!  I just ordered a new starter today and plan on changing it out.  Appreciate the input!

Mine just died about 3-4 weeks ago. It made it 9 years on the factory starter, turns over way faster than it ever did now.
