cdiddy Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 Has anyone found a way to fix the shakey fog lights? I have tryed adjusting them but that did not help. Any ideas???
Kevin zellweger Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 mine broke off the first time i hit a snow drift. So the dealer was going to charge a 100 bucks a light to replace, instead i fixed them with fiberglass and mesh. I also added washers while the resin was wet and used actual steel bolts to secure them to the bumper. The fog lights haven't shaked since.
Kevin zellweger Posted March 6, 2004 Posted March 6, 2004 serves me right for maybe gloating. I live in the country so today i went to town took the long way around on the dirt, its still winter up here in alberta and windy so you know what that means SNOW DRIFTS time for playing. nothing happened on the way to town but when i came back my dad suggested going on a road that would have a lot of drifts. Lots of fun snow flying up over the roof but i hit one drift that was a little to BIG and so i had to drive back and pick up my reinenforced fog lightand the air dam was falling off before but now its half way off. oh well fun and games, funny though because the plastic broke where it was not redone.
MountaineerTom Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 I made some braces out of some aluminum I had laying around the shop. No shaking since.
DMAX Daddy Posted March 7, 2004 Posted March 7, 2004 My problem is the fog lights (circular ones) on my 04 Z71 'Burb is they just SUCK. Its a shame when your flashers are noticably brighter than the fog lights. And yes, they are aimed correctly I see a PIAA upgrade with driving light outer and fog light inners coming soon.
bosssho Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 What is the stock Fog Light Part number for an 03 Z71? Every d**n part number is listed in the manual excpet that one? I ask b/c I converted my entire front end to a Denali and the Denali Lights are much betters (lense wise) but I still upgraded the bulbs to Sylvania Silverstars...and now they are real nice...but...the d**n wiring harness connectors don't match up to the bulbs...so a lot of modifications are needed just to get the lights installed.
