Wiper arm placement

On my 99' Suburban, the drivers wiper goes onto the black trim around the windshield when at the top of it's arc. I took the wiper off to reposition it and I see that it has a notch that prevents the arm from going back on in a different position. How do adjust the arm so that it parks lower down on the glass and completes it's arc before hitting the trim? Thanks

I just bought the truck a couple of weeks ago, and the blades were on it. The blades measure 18" and look a little long. Smaller ones would not hit up far enough for me to see out good (6'6"), so I hope these are the right size. What size blades are called for on a '99?

I dunno what size goes on there....the maybe someone else will, you can always goto autozone, and use their goofy wiper computer to find out. It really sounds like they may be an inch longer than their supposed to be. You might want to make sure their on correctly too. maybe if who ever replaced them last didn't get them on all the way. Maybe try taking them off, and reinstalling them???

Advance Auto Parts' web site says 18" is the right size. Are there 2 holes the blade could be mounted in? you might be able to turn the blae 180° and mount it back in the same hole.

The mount is thee hook kind. I removed the blade and had to reinstall in the same position cuz there's no other way to put the blade on. Looking at the plastic molding the arm rests in when parked, it couldn't go any father down than what is is now. I'm at a loss here
