I have a 22 silverado with the 10 speed. While sitting in park or neutral it acts as if it is trying to engage. I can monitor data and number 2 solenoid is energized sometimes for a few seconds up to several minutes. Once it de-energizes it stops trying to engage. I can not find theory of operation as when clutch solenoids energize. I replaced TCM but still does it. I know they have had problems with the valve body but would that cause the shift solenoid to show power?

I am not sure if this problem is related

I had valve body failures 4 times before getting rid of truck. Each time the check engine light would come on. Sometimes staying on, most time going out within 50 miles. Sometimes I would get a loss of power, other times truck would not back up, another time it would not move.

GMC is very dealer based and I could not talked to them directly. The 800 number person would say talk to dealer about warranty and suck. Dealer was not very good. In the end I was out 1500 dollars .

I don't think this is a valve body issue. I monitored clutch data and it doesn't show pressure on the clutchs when it acts up. I also don't have check engine light. I think it is something in the clutch drum I had it idling in neutral and it just started going 40 mph like it was in gear.
