I ordered a 2026 Silverado 2500 LT, and to get the LED headlights, I had to purchase the Z71 Chrome package.  You would think a chrome package would include chrome bumpers, but they are painted.  I prefer chrome, and I am wondering if the bumpers can be switched out easily to chrome?  I looked up chrome bumpers on the GM parts website, but there are two different ones listed for the front.  Are there differences that I should be aware of, or should I just ask the dealer to switch them when the truck comes in?  I haven't asked the dealer yet, so not even sure they would/can do this.  Thanks

Its quite clear in the description of the package as to what it entails:

Z71 Chrome Sport Edition, includes body-color grille bar with Black mesh with Chrome grille accents and Z71 badge, Chrome skid plate, (VB5) body-color front bumper, (VT5) body-color rear bumper, (WR4) 20" Bright finish aluminum wheels, (QF9) LT275/65R20 all-terrain, blackwall tires and (CGN) Chevytec spray-on bedliner.

So that's on you for not understanding the package and what it comes with.  For what a Z71 Sport Chrome runs, you could have stepped to an LTZ and got what you really wanted at that point.  Chrome.  And lots of it.

Dealer won't switch them for you from one truck to another on their lot.  Why not save some $$$ and just trade with someone who wants painted bumpers if you have to have the chrome ones so badly?  This will be the cheapest route for sure as plenty of people are seeking painted bumpers who have a truck that has chrome ones.  Just make sure you swap with someone who has the same options so if it has park sensors or not, etc.

Yeah, I didn’t mean I didn’t know it came with painted bumpers. I did know. I just was saying a chrome package should come with chrome bumpers or there should be options to get exactly what you want. I haven’t bought a new truck in 23 years, so I guess things change. I looked at the LTZ, but it wasn’t the same price. It was $5000 more.   I’ll try to find someone to switch with. Thanks.

I’m pretty sure all the bumpers are the same other than parking sensor holes. I switched the ones on my 24 from chrome to black. If you’re near N central PA I still have the chrome front one I’m trying to sell, without the parking sensor holes.

Concur, they are,  I did the same thing just went from chrome to color match.  the install and replacement is not hard at all, just me a second person to help handle them.
