Future GM powerplants and vehicles

This may be old news, maybe not. Today on TV, a GM future vehicle section was talked about, can't remember what show. In it they mentioned a V10 or V12 Engine to be in Cadillac's future high performance V series Escalade. and a 405hp GTO in a year, due to a higher compression ratio than in the current LS1. A GM rep. also mentioned "many" new powerplants to be introduced over the next few years. Wonder what is true and what is not? Chris

No, it's the LS2.

If you go to www.LS1GTO.com and do a search on the LS2, there is a poster on the board who works for Holden in Australia who was test running a left hand drive setup GTO with an LS2 under the hood. They were testing the LS2 down under on purpose...to keep out of sight of the media. Something they (GM) had a hard time doing here stateside because of nosey camera's (if you follow me).

Rumor was originally that the '05 GTO with the LS2 may actually hit the streets before the C6 did as it was already being tested down under, away from that prying American media. But I don't think GM would let that happen.
