Ball joints

Hi,new guy here.I hope somebody can help me figure this out.I am now having to replace my drivers side upper ball joint for the third time in a year. What could be causing them to go bad.Its an 88 k5 blazer 4x4.I lifted it about 3 inches with rear blocks and i added a leaf to the front springs to raise the front.I do need to get a different steering arm now because of the height.Could this be causing the problem?

The lift shouldnt affect the ball joints (Im assuming its a straight axle) You should replace the lower joint at the same time,if that 1's bad it'l stress the upper as well..also r u putting greaseable joints in? they will require more frequent lube if you'r runnin larger tires or plowing w/it....

Oh you're in TX,probably not plowin snow(ME a  )

All 4 are new and i do frequently grease them.Just the upper ball joint keeps going bad.

OK you got me there (I'm a:loser:)

Does the ball joint seat correctly?

With the 3" lift i can understand the need for the new steering arm to correct the geometry....speaking of geometry...if the front axle isnt sitting at th correct angle that may also cause stress on the upper ball joints..however i'm not sure what that angle is supposed to be...
