P 1345 engine code on crate motor

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me what a P1345 engine code is, and what could cause it/how to fix it?

Actually the code is P1345 Crankshaft Position [CKP] Camshaft Position [CMP] Correlation.

Please? Any help would be extremely appreciated.

The code came up as soon as a new crate motor was installed in my 98 Burb.

Thanks

Howard

The 2 of them together means your timing is off.

The timing on vortecs has to be done with the Tech 2 scan tool, not a light.

Thank's for the reply coolzr2. I just spoke to the dealer and they say they've tried that. Apparently, if they set it to where it's supposed to be at, it runs like a dog???

Any more options?

Thanks again

Then it must not be a stock motor.

If it is not stock, then you have to run the timing off to get it to run right with the non stock cam.

Thank's coolzr2.

How can I check as to whether or not the motor is stock?

I don't mind if it's an upgrade, but I don't want to be going backwards.

Best wishes

Howard

By the way, you are being an incredibly great help. The dealer has no idea what to do.

Was it a goodwrench replacement motor?
