O2 Sensors

I have a 94' 4.3L and was thinking of changing my O2 out. Since my truck isn't dual exhaust I figure there should only be one right? Is this an expensive/difficult change? Anyone be able to give me a little advice on doing so? Any help is much appriciated.

r ur sensors broken??? if not, i'd leave em' in. i just changed mine on my truk, one cost me $95, that was GM wholesale price!!! normally 130 ish...

if u need to change them, ur gunna need to find out if it is heated, how many wires, which one needs to be changed. etc.. might as well go to the dealer and ask them specifically which type of sensor u need. they can range from 60-130.

it is not difficult persay, but it takes a fight to get them suckers out if they have never been taken out. they are rusted inther pretty well, i can tell u that now!

spray some penetrating oil in it for a few nights prior to when u change them, and u should have no problems! hope this helped!

A '94 is pre-OBDII,you should only have 1 O2 sensor,and if I remember correctly,it is heated (3 wires coming off of the sensor)...it isnt hard to change,just be carefull not to cross-thread it when installing the new 1...depending where you buy it,could cost you from $40-60...if its a 1 wire sensor its even cheaper than that,about $20 from Auto Zone...the sensor should be in the front exh.pipe just B4 the catalytic converter....just be sure to take a look to see which you need,1 wire or 3 wire....by the way if the trk has over 75k miles on it,its not a bad idea to change it,even if it seems to be running OK...a slow sensor will affect fuel milage
