rim backspacing

i am planning on making my truck level and am looking to put 285 bfg mud's on it along with new rims. i am looking at 16x8 eagle 102's (sorry for stealing designs 1badhd)

 

is the 3.68?? back spacing gonna be to much and rub/look crappy??

 

what back spacing do you recommend. also pictures of similar setups would be nice.

 

i have factory fender flares if this matters

I think you are thinking 3.875 backspacing. This will probably rub. I had 3.875 backspacing on my Z71, but I had a 3" lift. They barely cleared. I would go with 4.875 backspacing or get 4.5" on AR rims.

 

I went through this whole thing once before on my own truck. Any more questions, let me know.

Yep, got the Eagles with the same backspacing and tire combo.

Need to crank the bars, pin back the wheel liners on both sides,

and tap in where the liner and wheel flares meet. Not bad to do, however I would go with the 4.5 backi space next time...
