Tranny Help

I have a 2000 Chevy 2500 today I noticed a very hard shift pattern that occured as the truck shifted in/out of over-drive at slow speeds. This occured three times in a short period of thirty miles or so and always occured at relatively slow speeds. Does anyone know why this would occur or what area I should look at first?

have you checked the tranny fluid level?

I did check fluid level and everything looked fine
