I REALLY need your help.....

Ok I will try to keep this very short. I need someone to give me some advice on how to get someone to listen to me. I've tried the Cadillac CS and that was a waste of time. Also tried the dealership no good got the run around.

This is my story....I purchased a brand new 2003 Cadillac Escalade on April 25, 2003 from a very large dealer. I wanted green and there was none in our area so they did a locate which I've never done before. I've always order my trucks that way I got what I wanted and have done that for the last 10 trucks that I have gotten. Well they located one in Maryland and had it sent up it had everything that I wanted in the truck (loaded) so I guess it was no big deal not to order....WRONG....I was also a bit pressed to do this deal because my friends wanted to buy my 2001 tahoe and really couldn't wait 8 weeks for my truck to come in. Well from the start I didn't get the navigation booklets to explain how to use the options. I didn't receive the 7 wire wiring harness and fought with them about that first they said it didn't come with the pkg and when I proved that it did they said they would eat the expensive and order me one....well I got a home made wiring harness that one of the guys made me and of couse it didn't fit....and no cargo net either....well after 10 months of playing with these guys I went into the dealership and demanded that they give me the right wiring harness and booklets out of the new Escalade they had sitting on the lot....they weren't to happy but did it. I never had such a problem buying a new truck as I had with this place. Now heres the kicker and I don't know if anyone here will know this but is the tailpipe cover standard equip. on the 2003 Escalade? Every Escalade I see has this but guess what....mine doesn't and if it is I want them to put one on my truck....I'm so pissed about this.....I've never gave anyone a bit of trouble about wanted something that wasn't due to me but this really takes the cake. I just wished that I could tell someone that would listen this story so things could be made right......That's all I'm asking for......Any advice I would be grateful.....Sami

I've had the same thing happen when I've had the dealer "locate" a vehicle for me. I've learned to research the vehicle really good and to look at others on the lot to see what should be in it when you pick it up, and demand that they give me what is when I pick it up, whether they have to take it out of another vehicle or not.

I think they skipped all the exhaust tips in 2003, they definatly did in all the Sierra Denali's. They did put them back on the 04's though.

Sorry, but no exhaust tip for the 2003 / 2004 models. It is only on the 2002.

Butch thank you....I feel so dumb for taking for granted that they would do their jobs. I never dreamed that the salesman would drop the ball so badly. See when I got the navigation pkg it was brand new so I don't think they knew too much about it so I gave them some time to get the info but they just kept pushing to blame onto someone else. I had to really stomp my feet to get the wiring harness even though I got the trailering pkg. and as for the cargo net I just had to buy one. I swear I will never ever do a dealer trade again. I researched and got the price I wanted but didn't think to make sure everything that I was suppose to get would be like pulling teeth.

Machine, as for the exhaust tip I just went to this dealer over the weekend when they were closed and all the 2004's (5 on the lot) have the tips and I even saw 2003's with them that is why I asked about this. I just thought with this being a upscale truck they would all have them.....it's funny how you notice thing down the line and not right away. I do love the truck but I won't be buying from Armen's again.....Thanks for the info maybe I just got one that skipped the tips.....Sami
