i want the ur opinion..

should i run a oil cooler??? i don't do high rpm driving at all..this summer i may make an appearance to the track a few times, but thats all. and i don't do "street racing" at all either. most of my rpms are down below 4K when i occasioanly romp on it.

so should i use a cooler??? or just loop the lines? thanks

BTW this is going on a 5.7L procharged engine.

Engine oil absorbs a tremendous amount of heat from the engine. Cooling it will definitely help keep the engine cooler in summer. But, oil coolers are generally intended for those applications where the engine is going to be under a more continuous type of load (i.e. towing, hauling loads). Over short bursts it won't contribute as much but it won't hurt either.
