I was wondering what anyone was getting for real world Gas milege for these new trucks?

I'm really hoping the city is near 18-20, and the highway around 22-24.

I don't have one, but should you get one you are more then welcome to test the mileage out by driving to Kansas to let me check the new ride out.  LOL

First off, just found this forum ten minutes ago..

Secondly, I love my Pewter Envoy to death, picked it

up on Saturday and it's a sweet vehicle.  I've since put about 1200 miles on it, and on a straight highway run, cruise control on (my foot ruins milage), I got about 390 miles out of a tank of gas (20 gallons or so?).  Not too shabby for a vehicle of this size.

Are they selling the 02 Bravada? There was a hold on them because of front end problems. Massive recalls, etc. We have a 2000 and are intersted in the 02 because of the warranties and cheap money. We were told they couldn't sell them (three months ago).

?,000!!! are you serious?  No wonder the price of the Suburbans is through the roof!  If GM can get ?k for a little SUV, than it doesn't surprise me that the full sizers are over 40K.   I'm on my 4th Suburban and my 97 only stickered at 36K.  My buddy just bought a new Cadillac Escalade and it was over ?K!  When will this end.......

BIG BLUE

I think all the parts have been fixed, and the recall is "over".

Sorry for the delay, I've been busy...

The final ratio on my Envoy is 3.42, I believe.

Took delivery on a White TB, 4Wd, LTZ at ? over

dealer invoice (about ?) with sunroof, 6CD, 3.73,limited slip, wheels, and heated seats (didn't want them, but

how do you get rid of 'em - L.A. is warm enough).

Car had been demo veh for 300 miles (I didn't like that

either, but I spoke with the guy who had it and he seemed

like 'joe milktoast' so maybe he kept his foot out of it)

Good deal.

Lots of electrics to keep the fiddler happy. Still trying to

work out half of 'em. OnStar is kinda fun but not sure

I'll re-up for ?.

Mileage... have a bit under 1000 on it. Very powerful car

and extremely smooth. So far on a hot day with A/C on we

got 19-20 highway at 73-78 mph... I know, I know... but

my tail was being blistered by everyone... darn L.A. freeways! That's about 2300 rpms with the 3.73s.

The only complaint is sideways seat support (lateral)... is

less than in the Envoys.

The sunroof is hard to close at cruising speed. Seems to

be a 'trick' that I have not gotten yet...

Also, at highway speeds, the front windows 'leak' air if

you have tried to raise them while going 65 or so...

maybe that will pass as things loosen up, if not, I'm

complaining.

Who makes the "dual exhaust" for this motor? I have read

countless reviews that suggest a marked horsepower increase

with the duals.

Like it very much. Give it about a 92% as far as a new

SUV goes... we drove the Envoy (same, better seats), the

Explorer (this is much more powerful), the Jeep Liberty

(very nice, tight and probably much better off road, real

great small SUV, less power), the SanteFe (very nice package

for the dough, but scared of the maker's reliability)and

a few car/suv types (Outback and so forth, nice, but

not in the same league.)

Okay, dual exhaust anyone? Thanks.
