Thought I should wish all you college guys and highschool guys good luck with finals. I have already had a few and I wish I hadn't....I mean, common, what kind of school makes you take a final at 7:30 a.m. on a Saturday? Oh well, its done with. Good luck again to all those taking them or who have to take them in the next few days/weeks!

As far as H.S. Finals go, I'm exempt from all due to my grades and attendance.......

I am taking one AP test, though.

And my only "real" Senior Project is for my English class, I have to write a book for 3-5 graders.

Of course it'll be about cars, I'm thinking of:

"The Concept of Concept Cars: Fantasy never produced"

So far, a few car's I plan on including are:

2000 Camaro ZL1 concept

1961 Mako Shark Vette Concept

197- BMW Turbo concept(led to the ///M1)

2002 BMW CS1

and lot's more.......

It's gonna be wierd "showing off" writing style on a CAr book for 5th Graders.......I can pull it off though, and hope it'll add up for a better grade!

That's illegal in WV now. They said too many students go to college not knowing how to prepare and take final exams so they made it illegal to be exempt. Now they can't figure out why none of the student ever come to school.

As for me, I'm finishing up student teaching this week, and I'll be done, no finals and graduation on May 15. What sucks is that now I have to get a job.

Next week for me is gonna be a bitch, but it'll be worth it when I get the sheepskin in a year or so. :smash::D

They didn't make it illegal to be exempt here. They just made another set of finals we have to take. So we can be exempt from the regular exam, but not what they call the district exam. Dang things count 20% of the final grade too.

Also here in Texas we have to take the TAKS test, forget what it stands for, but it is required that you pass it or you don't graduate. It's not just one test but 4 different test. English and Grammer combined, usually no less than 50 questions with 3 short answers and 1 essay. Math was over 70 questions this year, a combination of geometry , algebra I and II, and a little trig. Science and Social studies are probably the easiest test out of the 4, and Math is my stongest subject.

Back when Bush was still running this here, all I had to take was the TAAS test, and that thing was a cake walk, now he's gone and we have to take a long hard test that actually counts for something.

I'm one of the old men here and the last time I took a college exam was waaay over a decade ago.

I wish y'all the best. It is hard. It is a time of agony. How well I remember it, how well I recall being with several other pals at the all-night burger joints cramming for exams, taking exams without sleep, or floating on NoDoze.

Hang in there, y'all! This is definitely one of those things in which we can say, "I know what you are going through" and I never enjoyed it.

As a side note, Texas education seems to believe that proficiency exams are the secret to one's absorbing knowledge. I rebelled against those examinations back in the 70s in college, and still think these things are unnecessary. If one passes the courses, earns the academic requirements for the diploma or degree, I'd like to say that is all that should be required.

So, y'all, I'm on your side. But that means squat. Hang in there. Study, cram, and make the test administrators happy.

In the next 2 weeks, I have 6 written finals(essays) and 6 regular multiple choice finals. This is for 6 high school classes. We also just finished up taking a week's worth of standardized testing.

I have finals coming in the next few days too. I will need all the luck I can get on some of them. I have no middle of the road finals, some are going to be really easy or nearly impossible! :smash: Good luck to everyone else!

Yeah I have HS finals. It's a bitch. We have already had about 75 standardized tests this year because the great state of North Carolina wants to see if we be smart.

They made the finals worth 20% here in WV too.

In VA you have to pass those end of the course exams like that to graduate as well. Funny thing is it's because of Bush that they do it. It is a by product of No Child Left Behind, and it's just that the states that are on top of things a little more and trying to get a jump on all of it are doing this testing.

I like Bush alot, and stand by most of his policies and decisions, but man this No Child Left Behind could use some work.....Good in theory, horrible in practice unless some things get changed.

    • It's possible the two trucks are using different body control modules which is why yours works and the OP's doesn't.   So much in these newer vehicles depends on model/trim configurations, production date. They don't all use the same modules like back in the day.
    • I forgot to answer the question as per what market mine is set to and yes I finally found that area on mine and yes its also set to America.   So here's something I realized as I wasn't looking at that part in the Sierra section until now, your right that what I see here as choice 3 under Sierra which says 07/2023-06/2026 ( 433 MHz 13542523 ) it has no choice 5 for tire pressure selection. Where as it does under the Chev choice. However I kept going down the list within the Sierra and I am really wondering if choice 9 will work for your truck as it has the same model number and hertz sensor as my truck. I would say try that choice first, if that doesn't work then jump over to the Chev section and again choose that same model and hertz choice as for some reason the Chev section gives the choice 5 of tire type/pressure selection for going back a number of years. Could very well be an Autel thing that they just didn't get the updates all done properly under Sierra but anyway first try that selection 9 I suggested under Sierra and then go from there.
    • Looking for this piece that holds the hose clamp in place. I have the hose clamp just not that other piece. Dealers and wrecking yards in my area will not sell just that piece. They want you to buy the whole air tube $100 +/- to get that $5 part.  that piece isn't molded to the air tube as I looked at my friends truck. It's held on by a screw and nut. I'm trying to put the OEM parts on the truck as the previous owner butchered things up installing an aftermarket CAI. It really looked homemade. 🤣 Thanks
    • Ok I missed that part that yours is a GM. The strange part is that the choice for year ranges and within the year of 2026 is different on the Sierra then on the Chev for some reason as I am looking at my tool at the Sierra choices. Now I am guessing you see as to your sensor part number as it may be different on your truck for some reason and a call to GM should get you the part model number of the sensors you should have as well as which MHz your sensors are. I know mine are the ones as per what I listed but there are other choices in the Autel and got me wondering if by some chance they put different ones in your truck. Having said that, did you try using each of the choices starting from No 1 and going on down the list, not sure if that would mean shutting off the engine each time and resetting the tool and going at it again each time. Also I thought of something else which may sound retarded but if there was some stupid chance that the chev choice would work. The reason I say that is that the Sierra is showing a range up to 06/2026 for the various choices of sensors it could be where as the Chev has one choice that has that 12/2026. By the way it is possible to not run the truck and you may know that as per not pressing the brake but pressing and holding the start button for a few seconds and it lights up the dash ( its called service mode ) but that sucks battery power and if it were me doing it that way I would be throwing on a decent sized battery charger before doing it that way as killing your battery won't make you happy at me at all !.    Like I say, just a thought to try the Chev choices if you have already exhausted the Sierra choices but first it would be nice to know for sure what exact sensor model and hertz your truck uses as I assume only those choices that mention the sensor would work unless a choice that does not mention the sensor model would somehow work. Its frustrating when one is trying to use tools like this without the experience of the tool and the vehicle, as I am sure dealer techs themselves struggle with it when starting out or a new model year comes along that is slightly different.
    • I tried before I updated the scan tool just incase an update messed it up, but it never worked so I updated the scan tool and it still didn't work.   Only difference is I click on Sierra not Chevrolet cause I have a Sierra.   If I click on 2026-2024 I didn't have any option to change placard, when I click on 2023 it does give me the option but when I try to do it,.it says vehicle not supported!   I have my region or market or whatever it is set to America I think, is that what yours is set to?
