GMC Equinox

Does anyone know anything about the GMC Equinox?  I saw one in Motor Trend, just came in the mail today.  It is like an Avalance but based on the Envoy.  I want one!!!  GMC has nothing listed on it's site, and Motor Trend states it is slated for production, and lists it as an '03 model.

You know as much as I do Joe.  Now if they took the twin turbo 4.2L inline 6cyl from the trailblazer they (MotorTrend) have featured and stuck it in as an option that would be something!!!   LOL

The Equinox is coming during the 2003 model year.  I'm not sure if it will be available in fall or winter, but it is coming.  My cousin is a designer at GM Truck in Pontiac, and he worked on that program (I believe it was GMT370) last year.  It will ride on the Envoy XL chassis.  He worked on the Avalanche midgate 2 years ago, and then the same basic group followed up and did the Equinox midgate. Expect it to be a baby Avalanche in terms of functionality and layout.
