Guys I mentioned I was getting a new F-450 last week.Well I went to pick up the truck yesterday afternoon and flat chickened out.The HD was sitting there all prettied up,ready to be traded and I just couldn't bring myself to sign the paperwork.I felt like I was giving away my first born.I'm sure the salesmen didn't like it but oh well.I have a personal attachament to my truck and don't see it finding a new home anytime soon.I'm relieved I came back to my senses.

Had me wondering there, I know I hadn't seen it listed down at the bottom of your sig. Good call. I know I looked at trading my 99 a few months back, but the numbers weren't right and I'm quite glad I didn't at this point as it's paid off and I've found more things to spend money I don't have on...but such is life, right?

A few months back I was considering trading in my HD and I just could not get a good enough deal on my trade, no surprise there. The more I went from dealer to dealer I just realized how much I did not want to get rid of my truck. Like you said, I just am to attached to the truck I have now. Glad to hear you stuck with your Chevy.....

I think the 01-02 HD's will become somewhat rare and collectable someday since they only made this front end style 2 years. Anyway, I'm not one that trades in every couple of years. I plan on keeping this thing a long time. After the motor goes, which at my current rate should be about 10 years for 200K miles, I'll stick another engine in it and drive it some more. I had an '81 Silverado that I bought new and put close to 200K on it in 15 years.

 

And man I could really put the $$ to good use after this thing is paid off in 18 months.

 

Yep, "ROY" and I still have a lot of adventures ahead! I'm keeping mine.
