Heck,almost anything can be done w/nuf money$$$$

I don't know about the Ford shaft, but you should be able to have a new driveshaft made by any compitent driveline shop.....just make sure that you put a slip joint on the shaft or it'l snap on the 1st bump you drive over.....

My tranny 350 was rebuilt 4 yrs ago including the motor but i have a problem with my passing gear at first i thought it was the distributer but it wasnt could it be the Detent cable, when i looked at it it seemed alright but i dont know, my 79 K-15 the passing gear works good i dont know about this one though

A small block Chevy is a small block Chevy...350 and 400 r the same except 4 bore & stroke (internal measurements) all external dimensions r the same, heads r the same on the outside..............as far as the detent cable ...Have you tried adjusting it?

On top of the cable housing, where it goes through the mounting bracket, there is a button(kinda looks like a 1/2 circle) press down on the button to release the casing and pull back on the casing behind the bracket towards the firewall as far as you can....then w/the engine OFF...and using your HAND, open the throttle on the carb. till it stops...while you r doing this you should hear the detent cable click while its adjusting itself...then take er 4 a ride and c if that helped
