Recommended Posts

Anyone and everyone,

Please help me!!!

I have been trying to disable my DRL & my autolamp feature on my 1999 chevrolet blazer, and I have had no luck so far.  If anyone knows how to beat that devilish invention, please let me know.

Thanks.

try this

slightly push the parking brake down till you hear a click.  (Not all the way down)

I don't remember why, but pushing the parking break isn't the best method.

I would just recommend you pull out the fuse for the DRL instead.

cd with my moms 2000 blazer i forget if her manual or the dealer told her how to disable the drl's

The method is the parking brake.  Only bad thing is a light on the dash flashes.  Your parking brake isnt activated unless you push it all the way down so why isnt it the best way?

actually, it could have just been the warning light that lights up when you push parking break to the first notch.  I am aware that the PB does not actaully engage at that point.

But like I mentioned, just pulling the fuse will disable DRL anyways, and you won't have the light on the dash warning you.

Last I checked, the green DRL light on the dash will stay on once the ignition is turned on even if the fuse is pulled.

At least that's the case on my Tahoe.
