1999 5.3 4x4 front end noise

It looks like i have a bearing going in the front end of my 4x4 has anyone else had this problem, its like a wining noise and its not the wheel bearing because i jack up the rear end and started the truck and put it in gear and the noise is comming from the front end..

when was the last time you changed the front diff fluid? i noticed that my front end was getting a little noisier before i changed the fluid out - and the fluid looked terrible when i did change it...
