Fuel Pump

I have an 89 K10 Blazer 4X4 350, my problem is the ECMB fuse will blow every now and then, and when it does you cannot replace it because they will blow as soon as you turn the key on. I pulled the tank and checked the pump, its fine put it back togeather and it started up let it run for about a 30 minutes and drove it everything ok. My girlfriend was gettin ready to go somewhere and BLAM it blows again, I installed a new oil sending unit but not the fuel pump relay it seems ok. Anybody have any ideas to look for I'm at a loss! Thanks

If I had pulled the tank, would have replace pump regardless of appearance. I think that is where your problem lies.

Check the fuel pump wiring harness,does it run along the frame rail,or does it travel under the drivers side interior?..I could be wrong,but if it runs inside the truck under the carpet,it may have rubbed thru

I agree, I've seen this before on '97 S10. I bet the wire wore through somewhere is is grounding out blowing the fuse.
