Rear end noise

hey gm-trucks,

 

I have a 99 sierra 4x4 and I noticed vibration at highway speeds and found out it was the u-joints, truck still

under factory warranty, changed u-joints. But i still have a noise when i start from a dead stop, a "CLANK", It's

almost like there is play before the rear end kicks in. I've read a few post about this and someone meantioned

clutch plates, could this be it and is it covered under warranty. Is there any other anomalies that are GMC

Sierra specific I should get checked out before my warranties up, Iheard the intake gasket is known to go.

One more thing what are the biggest tires that I can fit on the 16 in stockers.

Drive spline needs to be packed with some grease

 

and, 285/75 r16 should do (without suspension work)
