Is there clearance?

Will a set of 285/75 R16's fit on a '99 Silverado Z71? I have the old body style with no lift. I want to make sure that they clear the fenders.

Thanks.

Im doing the same but on my 98 Yucon. My buddy just put a set on his 99 Tahoe and they fit. Its tight but they fit with no rubbing. I would not do any crazy off roading they may rub if the susp is fully compressed and the wheel turned.

Should be no problem, but if there is, just crank the torsion bars a bit. I have a 95 Z71 and have 285's with the t-bars cranked 1". That was then, now I have a Rancho 4" lift kit on with stock rims. :sigh:

Thanks for the help. By the way...I wanted to put some AR Outlaw II rims on. i don't want to make the front any wider....but I would like to make the rear as wide as the front....does anyone know how much wider the front is than the back?

Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure the 1500 trucks have the same widths in the front and rear axles. It's the 2500HD's and bigger that have a 2.5"-3" narrower rear axle than front. Look up wheel spacers, should be some posts about what trucks have a difference in front and rear widths. Chris
