heated mirrors

From what I have read the turn signal mirrors can be installed if you don't have them already. With the wires already run. What about the heated mirrors do they also get heated with the controls already installed?

Probally not since they are tied in with the Rear Defrost.

But I have rear defrost I just don't know if the wires are run to the mirrors.

Does anyone know if the heated mirrors tie in with the connection on the bottom of the power door lock/window controls?

I'm not 100% sure, but I'm willing to bet since you have rear defrost, then the wiring for the mirrors are already there.

I may actually be finding this out myself. I have a set of mirrors from a tahoe, with the puddle light on the bottom, and both come with heated mirrors. I havn't installed them yet, but when I do I may try and get an AC/Heat control with defrost and see if they work. If not, I'll just put my non-heated mirror glass back on. If I remember correctly, there was an extra pin and wire in the wiring harness but not in the plug for the mirror itself. I'm thinking that was for the heated mirrors.
