Dodges turn into rattle traps with age and the 360 is not known for power of MPG. Some people learn the hard way. They have lousy club cabs too that year.

Have fun with that transmission. :chevy:

I know! My dad's incredibly pissed off at her right about now. When the 0 is paid off in a yr, that goes to her and the Duramax FINALLY hits the driveway. Either that or an 8.1, but w/ the trailer we're still thinking diesel.

Hers has like 38xxx miles, we know the second it hits 45k the tranny is going to go to s**t. "But she bought the 3 yr 30k mi. warranty"

Warranty my ass, Dodge'll say she abused the hell out of it just to keep their moneys. Expensive lesson, but it ain't my truck

I talked to my mom on Friday, she said Bruce is going to look into an 04 or 05 at the end of the year, so my semi-new Bowtie will be coming soon I hope!

I feel bad for your sister. I have two friends with dodges, one I have had to tow to the dealership twice. On the bright side she will get to learn alot about working on a dodge.

She made the right choice.

Dodge was my second choice when looking for a truck, Ford being first, but when the Chevy dealer had this truck for such a low price I had to jump on it.

I just hope I can keep my current truck on the road as long as I kept my old 89 Dodge on the road over 300k miles.

My brother traded his 2001 1500HD crew for a QC Hemi. He said he will never buy a GM truck again. His 6.0 sounded like a John Deere knock'n and bang'n.

He did say however he liked the cab better, more comfy in the chevy. But the power of the dodge is way better (his words). We'll see how many miles he gets on it before he is ready to change...

GM needs to bite the bullet on this piston slap problem they have because it is not going to go anyway and will hurt them more than they think in the long term. They need to reduced stockholder dividends and profits and fix the ten of thousands of engines out there with that problem. They more I here people complain about, the glader I am that I bought a OBS 2000 with a 5.7 new instead of a NBS without a 5.7.

Well I rode in it today, it's a nice truck actually. 4WD, SLT Laramie w/ everything (I like how her upper console has the mileage, miles left to fillup, etc, ours doesn't), it's got the 5.9 I believe, and you wouldn't believe how clean it is. The only reason they didn't get the Chevy was because Nate (husband) HAD to have $wd, and it's like Casey said, they use it maybe once every 2 years, but w/e.

We went looking for rims and tires this morning, comparing prices, went and looked at cd decks and amps, alarms, etc. Gary said he'd hook her up for exhaust, and I get to choose what she puts on :D
