Deer incident

That is sad indeed.

For curiosity, why don't they have a fence around the track so that deer and other animals don't wander out into the area? Is it beacuse hitting an animal is so rare compared to hitting the wall or another kart? Or is it simply not a top priority as compared to sponsors, ticket sales, and other revenue?

I cant comment on the fences or lack there of at Summit Point but I do know the main concern is vehicle run-off area. I guess wildlife hasn't presented a problem until now.

I dont really think revenue is a big concern. I know a lot of tracks we run at are non spectator tracks, and I believe the World Karting Association is not for profit.
