Transmission is slipping...

I've got a 5.3 L with the auto transmission, and it has started to slip as it tries to shift into the 4th gear(I think it's 4th). It happens around 40-50 MPH at a slow, steady acceleration. If I back off from the point where it slips and give it gas hard, it won't slip. I had my trans fluid and filter replaced last week, but it's still slipping, Is it a super serious problem? What else needs to be done to it? Thanks!

i would get it run for codes and go from there.

Almost sounds like the torque converter lock-up is stumbling(lagging) could be a dirty valve or a solonoid...was it doing this b4 you had the filter changed?

A GOOD tranny tech should be able to diagnose it for you....just my .02

Yes, it was doing it before I got it serviced, which is the reason I had it done. Hoping either a) that would fix it, or b) they would notice a problem and fix it. But no such luck...we'll see where it goes from here.
