Finally got the pictures to work. It is a 2004 commemorative edition, Lemans Blue with Shale interior. It drives just a tad bit different than my truck! What an awesome car. This was one of the last commemorative coupes left in Houston. My dad got an awesome deal on it because they are trying to clear the way for the 2005s to come out.

I can only guess, but the color is called Lemans blue, so I believe this was the pace car for the lemans race....anyone else have an idea?

Very cool car :puke::puke:

C.E.s commemorate the C5-Rs running in the Lemans Race. The paint scheme matches what the race cars wore (minus the stripes). The Z06s take it a step further, adding racing stripes, and updated suspension, and carbon fiber hood :puke:

Thats right - the Z06's also have several other things, like titanium exhaust, 55 more horsepower, etc, along with the racing stripes, different wheels, and you can not get an automatic. They are all manual transmissions. My dad probably would have bought one of those (there are still plenty at the dealerships here in Houston) but my mom's only stipulation to him getting one is that she would be able to drive it, and she can't drive a stick.

Sound like a good time to teach her how to drive a stick!

This is my dad's car - he is 54 and plans to keep it 100% bone stock. He had a '67 GTO when he was younger, and a '79 corvette when he was younger too. This car is something that he has always wanted and wants to keep it a long time. It will never be driven hard, raced, etc...just something he can "sit low and drive slow" in.

There are still several of the Z06 models on the lots here in Houston, but I can not find another of the Commemorative coupes.

I haven't got on it yet, but when driving it you can definately tell there is some power under your foot!
