DVD Install Please Help

I am trying to find out if a DVD unit such as the Alpine IVA D900 or 300 can be ran into the factory head unit in my 2004 yukon. I have the factory 6 disc with XM and there is an AUX button on the HU. I dont have the factory flip down DVD in the rear. On the equipped factory DVD it does play through the AUX so would an aftermarket? If so how and what type of plug. I would rather not use FM modulator. IF anyone has delt with this or has any information please help me. thank you :puke:

i don't think you can plug an aftermarket dvd player right into factory hu. the 03+ hu uses class ii data wire to connect dvd, mp3, and remote cd-changer. if you want to add aftermarket dvd, such as alpine, the best and easiest way to do it should be to get an aux input interface from pac. if you don't have a remote 6cd changer, not the changer built into hu, you'll have to get the AAI-GM24 model. if you do have the remote cd changer, you'll need the AAI-GM12. here is the link: http://www.pac-audio.com/products/aai.htm . in my opinion, this will be the easiest and most simple way to add your alpine dvd player.
