Hello. My dad and I just finished restoring a 1972 Blazer. It currently has a 350 long block in it with a Q-jet carb. I was looking for some performance increase and was interested in the Ram Jet motors, particularly the 350 series. I wanted to know what other people thought about it regarding performance, reliability, and fuel economy. If you do have any other ideas to gain more power, I would like to know. Thank-you

They are putting fast burn heads in place of the vortec heads with a hot cam and making 430 hp but your controller needs to be custom tuned. They are using 1 3/4" headers. However, if you more torque, 1 5/8" headers are great and keep the power where you use it the most. Plus, I have even seen 1 5/8" headers make more power than 1 3/4" headers.

Thanks. I already posted there and got some replies, they said to build a motor or put a 454 in it, here is the link if you want to check it out 67-72

Thank-you for your information.

It sounded like you got a thumbs up on the ramjet....and a warm welcome...unfortunately estimating MPG for a rig like yours or some one other than your own, is pretty tough.
