elgineddie Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Howdy team, I finally got my JBA headers installed today. I got them on a good deal from TByrne, sent them to Jet-Hot for coating and spent 6 hours installing them. I am a sloooow worker, so it could have been done faster. For some history, I found a broken manifold bolt while I was changing the oil. I figured since I have to remove the manifold to get at it, I'd add some headers. Now I have 2 things to say about my header install experience about which I am very psyched: 1) the JBAs bolted right up better than anything I have ever purchased for my truck and 2) Sears makes a broken bolt removal kit called "Bolt Out". It wasn't cheap ($50) but this was the best friggen tool I have ever used. Nobody ever plans on breaking bolts but you should go buy this set because once you use it, and especially if you've used the drill-and-pray method with the screw out extractors, this will make you sit back and chuckle. Yeah, that chuckle like "why didn't I invent this". I haven't had the truck out for a drive yet but I will post back here when I do. Ed
