shorty headers

Hey folks- anyone have tips real quick on installing some shortys? brand of silicone they use, etc.?

 

just picked some up cheap and i think i'm going to install them maybe this weekend.

I recommed to get some SS collecter gaskets for the end of the header to your crossover. I used Fel-Pro gaskets and had no problem with them.

Since you have to remove the intermediate shaft to do the driver's side, you might want to pick up the grease kit and do that while it's out. Also, keep a wrench that fits the header bolts in your glove box and recheck them every day for a week or two, this way they won't loosen up and blow a gasket.
