On November 28th I got myself my cat-back for my birthday, it's a single in dual tails out the back. I was concerned about the low-end power loss but mine runs as good or better than it did before, anyhow if I had a k&n system will it pick up a little more power you think or would I be wasting money?

I'd say go for it, nothing compliments a less restrictive exhaust like a K&N FIPK.  I've got a flowmaster dual and a K&N FIPK and the combo works great for power gains.
