First off my truck is a 2001 CC D/A with 295 tires.

 

A couple months ago the tranny would act kind of funny on the incline of my garage. Like when I was slowly pulling in the last couple feet it would kind of buck like it was . I didn't really worry.

Now the tranny has started really doing wierd things.

always on an incline......today I was going really slow up an incline and started to go giving normal pedal and it made some kind of gargling sound and didn't want to move, then it all of a sudden droped into gear and went. Really strange kinda like an old dirt bike that doesn't go into gear all the way cause the gear dog ears are worn?

 

Well as we speak it is on it's way to the stealership but I am worried cause of the tires they probably won't even look at it?

 

Anyone else had these kind of problems and what was the verdict?

The 01 that I had did that. The dealer reprogrammed it a couple of times. Then at 32000 miles...I traded it.

The dealer said to drive it till the engine lite came on?

 

A service guy took me over to a huge uphill grade and it never hickuped...figures

 

Might try to get him to reprogram it?

 

Coolest thing was he never said a word about the bigger tires.....he's got my business!

hmm, didnt fix your problem or offer any other ideas. but he looked at even though you had aftermarket tires? sounds like a winner!

I thought it was pretty good service he jumped in it and took over to a street with a big hill to try and get it to duplicate but he couldn't get it to do it I even tried and since it didn't throw a check light he said it wouldn't throw a code?

 

Drive it till it does throw a light?

 

He did give a suggestion....change the fuel filter since it was at 26000 miles since the last change, not sure why that would effect it ?

 

Anyways I was impressed, the stealership in Lynnwoood wouldn't even look at till I put on my old tires and rims, kinda a dick about it too.
