first off, i am a die hard chevy lover. i have loved the camaro since i was a little boy, and i despise the mustang. to this day when i see a mustang my little boy says " dad, theres the car you hate". i have never even driven a ford truck, i had the oppurtunity but declined. :lurk: so, what is my post about? am i the only one that thinks these ford f-250 SUPER DUTY 4X4 trucks are something incredible to look at. i am not getting into quality or engines, leave that to others to discuss. i am just saying these things are mean monsters. every time i see one i say to myself theres a crummy ford, but i can't stop looking at the truck. please don't flame me, i know alot of people don't want to hear this, i just wanted to know if anyone else felt the super duty looked incredible, or am i just on drugs or something. long live chevy :jester: ps. have you seen the 2005 super duty "beast" the front end is the meanest i have ever seen.

i agree, the F-250's do look mean especially the front view of the truck. i looked at a F-350 Dually the other day and that looks mean too. i just dont like Ford's same ol boring interior, and the fact that my gramps is a Ford fan...dont wanna look like gramps driving down the street.

:lurk: NO..your not on drugs, just opening your eyes for change. The Ford engineers have things that other truck manufacturs don't....common sense and balls. The new Fords, both F150 and the SD's look mean while sexy and sleek. And they drive good for a Ford. On the other hand Dodge just wont ever float my boat. GM is going to suprize many people on the next generation, I hope, and one up Ford and the other competition.

I work for an engineering firm and most of my work is in the Automotive world. I know what goes into making cars and trucks and I will tell you this, I will never buy a Chrysler product, and if my wife would allow, my next car will be a Toyota or Honda. The TRUCKS will ALWAYS be CHEVY!

my 2 cents they dont look bad from the outside for a

ford.never will look as good as a gmc .though i work on

fords the interior is not designed for comfort though i woul

d never own a ford just for the fact that i work on them

and the quality is not there if they could get away with

putting a zip tie were a bolt should go they would just to

save a nickle.i have ford engineers come in and say they

are piece of crap now whats that tell ya.i will always drive

gm they quality is there and getting even better.thats my

2 cents :lurk:

I just purchased a '05 F-350. I love the way it looks. The interior may be bland but it is comfortable and very spacious. The truck has a better ride than my 2500 HD, too.

I must agree - the new fords are really tuff looking. The current Chevy look kinda whimpy when comparing them to the fords...both NonHD's and HD's. The new 05 HD's look a little better.....but still lack in the "tough Truck" look segment.

I saw the new Super Duty's have a built in Factory Brake contoller........if it works as good as they claim......Chevy needs to look into this feature.

I do agree with the lack of comfort in the SuperDuty's....When I bought my 02 HD - a few weeks later my buddy bought a Super Duty with PowerStroke - my LS interior is far more cofortable and refined then the XLT interior.

Cant wait till the next gen Silverados comes out....they have some catching up to do.

I like the exterrior looks, but thats about it.

The F-250s look a bit cooler than the Chevy 2500 HDs. They also have better clearance below. The built-in brake controller sounds neat.

Its higher center of gravity will probably not be all that helpful when you try to dodge a deer... I would not mind betting the bigger nose will cost you a bit extra at the pump, too. If I compare the Ford cars I've owned with the Chevy trucks I've owned, Chevy has the upper hand when it comes to build quality and use of materials.

I think GM needs some new blood in thier design departments. As far as new vehicle design they are going to get smoked.

In the car line look at the new Mustang and compare it to the GTO. I think the Mustang wins hands down from a looks stand point. And that is what gets people to the dealerships! If that wasn't the case nobody would by a Chrysler product..LOL sorry couldn't help it. Ive owned a few dodges, mid to late 60's w/440's though.

Its all personal preference. I prefer GM but I think thier falling behind the others. Just my opinion.

now come on i hope you just dont buy a vehicle for

just looks.ford trucks are so uncomfortable its sicking

.as far as gto versus mustang it wasnt brought out

to compete to each other.there is a new camero in the

works the will do gm justice. the 05 corvette will compete

with anything ford has to offer and dont say the gt40 because

thats a overpriced car if you put that amount of money into

the vette it will smoke it.i work on fords for a living its a weekly

event of recalls and tsbs just look at there stocks this company

is far away very far away as to competing with gms vehicles and

quality just my 2 cents :lurk:

Yes, I should have been more clear....my F350 rides better than my 2500 did when it was stock.
