S10 Rear Disc Brakes

Anyone here replace the rear drums on their S10 for disc brakes? Did you notice any improvement in braking performance? I've been looking at the SSBC upgrade for S10 Blazer. Suggestions?

there are a few different options, F-body rears will fit, 2wd blazer discs, ZR2 rears dics, and the SSBC kit which would be the Hi performance option

You would get a bigger improvement by switching out your front single piston caliper brakes('94-97 model S-10s) to dual caliper brakes. Also it is less expensive than a rear disc conversion.

I did the front brake conversion and it is a big improvement. The SSBC calipers look really nice.

OK, used my phone camera. These are dual piston calipers. Had to build my own brake lines as the stock ones won't fit. Used stainless steel braid. You can get these in different colors, these are anodized aluminum. Quite a bit lighter than the stock one piston calipers.
