I doubt it. I think that falls under general wear & tear. Get yourself some glass coverage thru your insurance agent. I believe it's like $16 for the year. Then wait a month the put in the claim.

right, warranty wont cover this. call your insurance agent some insurance companies repair/replace for free. others charge a deductible. my advice is not to have it repaired but replaced. replacement will look better.

If it isn't directly in your line of sight, I suggest getting the chip repaired. Save your insurance claim on a new windshield for when you get the big one (crack) or lots more little ones. Otherwise you are going to be buying glass at each oil change. :smash:

Once you drive that baby off the lot and you go down the highway and a rock chips your windshield you are done. I am currently in the process of fighting the factory on a crack that appeared on the inside pane of glass after about 3500 miles. It runs from the bottom of the windshield and is obviously a factory crack from the inside edge. After 2500 miles the factory will not cover glass even if you have my circumstances. Good luck!

Interesting I have noticed a line on my windshield almost like the wiper blade left a mark there but it has never been left in that position. Sometimes you can see water run down it. I'm going to see if Bon Ami will take it out...

I carry a roll of scotch tape in my tool box for just the occasion. If you get a chip the first thing you do is pull over and stick the tape on the wound a couple times pulling any rock fragmints out and then using a fresh piece of tape over the wound untill you can get it sealed. the tape will keep the chip clean and the chip will be invisible when sealed. works everytime!
