Truck Boxes

I am starting to shop around for a box for my truck. I am looking for one the sits on top of the rails and has latches on the sides so you can unlock it from outside the truck easily. Considering a gull wing or piano hinged design where the whole lid flips up at once. Looking at the chrome or polished aluminum diamond plate models.

 

Basically I was wondering if there are any brands to avoid? Is there any place you know of that seems to be really good on prices, website or physical store? Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I bought a JOBOX for my truck and am quite pleased with it. I got it on the internet at americanvan.com. These are very high quality and well made boxes. They also have a clear coat so that they will never get dull!

I just got through shopping around. I ended up with the same toolbox that I had on my '97 Z71 (I have an '03 now), a United Welding Service. I found them to be of better construction and made of thicker gague diamond plating than the others I looked at. I got a crossover box with the single lid. The only feature that I dont like is the handle on the back of the box. I prefer the push button on the side for easier 1 handed opening. UWS make a professional one that has that feature but it was deeper and wider than what I wanted.
