super truck exhaust

I have an 02 sierra w/ 5.3, Ive been doing alot of looking for catback exhaust systems.

I really like the look of having the pipes coming out in front of the rear wheels but, this is an everyday driver and I dont want droning, resonance or anything that will give me a headache on roadtrips. Has anybody had experience with gibsons supertruck or any other similiar exhaust that exits on the side do you sacrifice performance with this type of exhaust? thanks for the help

Im not a big fan of Gibson. Not loud enough for my taste. No sacrifice in performance with the exit location. But I did hear that the exhaust heat/fumes discolor the clear coat on the stock wheels. Id look into Magnaflow if I were you.

Agreed, except I don't need loud exhausts :loser:

As far as a system exiting in front of the rear tires, if you really want it, I'd say have a custom one bent up. You could use a 22" Magnaflow, and get the tone you want, without having in-cab drone at most cruise speeds :tear:

I have a flowmaster muscle truck cat back kit I am trying to sale. It is in good condition with about 2k miles on it. The kit is complete. It was on my 2003 K1500 rcsb. Its a nice system. If you are interested...make an offer. Thanks!

Thats a good idea there. Buy the Magna muff and have an exhaust shop build your system around it. Wont cost too much, might actually be less than a full cat-back.
